Wheatland Farm Lodges and Cottages
Flowers and flutterbys
30th July 2007

I think meadowsweet is my plant of the summer. It reminds me of champagne, with its froth of flowers. Right now, it seems like everything is in bloom in the reserve. And although it's too late to see the marsh fritillary, there are plenty of the more common but equally lovely butterlies in flight......

And I saw a silver-washed fritillary on the hedgrerow today, but you'll have to take my word for it, as I didn't have the camera to hand.
